ReddishKnob Shuttle 6/10, 7/22, 9/9

Strong-intermediate-to-expert skill level shuttle runs on Reddish Knob to surrounding trails.

Service Description

Grab a seat in the van for laps down this classic descent in the George Washington National Forest! Best for intermediate to expert riders. June 10 July 22 Sept 9 -This shuttle will make runs to Reddish Knob where participants can drop into several trail options: Wolf Ridge trail (#378), Timber Ridge trail (#431), or Lynn trail (#436). Riders will meet the van at the Wolf Ridge parking lot for pickup and shuttle back to the top of the mountain. THE TRAILS: The ridges aren’t all straight down; there is climbing! These are backcountry rides! *Timber to Wolf: https://www.trailforks.com/trails/wolf-ridge-trail/ *Timber Ridge: https://www.trailforks.com/trails/timber-ridge-trail-58599/ *Timber to Lynn: (This shows it as a climb but it’s an amazing descent: You will have to descend road to get to shuttle or we'll pick you up on the way up the mountain) https://www.trailforks.com/trails/lynn-trail/ -Park at the Wolf Ridge Trail parking lot by 8:30am to be ready to go at 9:00. The shuttle leaves in cycles of about 1.5 hrs from the Wolf Ridge parking lot; last shuttle at 4:00pm or 2hrs before dark, whichever is earlier. You can come later than 8:30am if you plan to miss the first lap, but you MUST contact us and let us know ahead of time, so we don't wait for you. -Please note that the shuttle won't run, and you'll be refunded if fewer than 7 people book for a specific date or if there is significant rain in the forecast. Cancellation notification will be made by noon the day prior to shuttle. REQUIREMENTS: -Intermediate to expert skill level of riding. -Flat fix kit and all other tools you would typically bring in the backcountry! You must be able to fix your own flat or manage other mechanical issues that could come up in a backcountry setting. -GPS mapping app. Routes are on TrailForks and MTB Project. -Helmets are required; other personal protective equipment like eye protection, knee pads and gloves are strongly recommended. -Personal first aid kit. -Personal supply of water and food for the day. THE TRAILS: -Fast downhills; sometimes loose, rocky descents; backcountry singletrack with wider dual track; small sections of steep climbing interspersed with big downhills; technical rock gardens. -Equivalent of a single black diamond trail. -Tipping your shuttle driver for a job well done is appreciated :)

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation, Reschedule, No-Show Policy: We have limited staff and high demand, so we require that clients give us at least 24hrs notice if they need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 24hrs notice or "no shows" will not receive refunds. Weather Policy: We only cancel for weather if chances of rain are above 60% at the time of the scheduled lesson or if the temperature poses a threat to safety. Lessons cancelled due to weather will be rescheduled.
