Our long term athlete development program is designed to help riders meet different individualized goals based on skill development and five other performance factors. Examples of rider goals: -Improve race results. Regional racing to World Cups. -Prepare to ride new terrain on a trip. Examples; Whistler, Moab, Pisgah or George Washington National Forests -Improve overall riding techniques. Jumping, cornering, steep descending. When it comes to improving your riding or meeting your goals it can be hard to know where to start. We’re here to design a path forward. We do that through goal setting and analysis of a variety of different performance factors. There are six main categories we assess and look for areas of improvement. The Six Performance Factors: +Riding Technique: Skill improvement is what brings most people here! +Tactics/Process: Here we work on your game plan for success. When to train, when to take another practice run, and pacing are some common tactical topics. +Equipment Optimization: From choosing the right equipment to setting it up we will work to make sure you have the gear that only helps and never hinders. +Environmental Preparation: Helping you prepare for different weather and terrain. +Mental Preparation: We’ll address common topics like fear and stress as well as methods for focusing and performing under pressure. +Physical Needs: We’re not doctors or physical therapists but we see common needs in riders and help them address them to gain greater physical literacy and confidence. How it works: -Sign up and fill out the goal setting survey free of charge. This can be helpful even if you don’t end up doing the program. -We then have a free 15-30 minute phone call to see if this is the right fit for you. -If so, we schedule a 1 hour initial call to start and collect more info to help create the program. -You will receive a weekly schedule of performance areas to focus on with the Riding Techniques as the foundation of the program and the rest of the performance addressed as needed. -One hour phone calls every other week to check in on progress and adjust the program as needed. -Program continues until you want to stop. Cancellation, Reschedule, No-Show Policy: We have limited staff and high demand, so we require that clients give us at least 24hrs notice if they need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 24hrs notice or "no shows" will not receive refunds. Weather Policy: We only cancel for weather if chances of rain are above 60% at the time of the scheduled lesson or if the temperature poses a threat to safety. Lessons cancelled due to weather will be rescheduled.
